13) EVIL IS AS EVIL DOES

From the movie "Forest Gump," four notable sayings have emerged:

1. "Shit happens."

2. "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get."

3. "Stupid is as stupid does" - this can be modified to "Evil is as evil does."

4. "I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is" - where God is equated with love.

It's often said that the true nature of a person can be discerned through their actions. I recall an uncle who, despite being married, maintained a relationship with a girlfriend in his hometown. He would frequently visit Edmonton, where he would engage with multiple prostitutes to fulfill his desires. In doing so, was he not violating the seventh commandment? Unfortunately, I've encountered others who similarly disregard the sanctity of marriage and view adultery as either a thrill or a disregard for any of the Ten Commandments. While we cannot control the actions of others, we can devote ourselves to studying scripture and striving to draw closer to God (Luke 6:41-46).
