9) DIVINE PURPOSE

• Everything has a purpose, and there is God’s purpose in all things!

• Proverbs 16:4 — “The LORD works out everything for his own ends — even the wicked for the day of disaster.” This is simply the truth; everything and everyone is created for a divine purpose — even the wicked for the day of destruction.

• Psalms 57:2 — “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.” This is key in understanding God’s purpose for your life. God has numbered your days and will fulfill every purpose he has for you. However, our choices and actions really matter. Predestination, along with our choices, creates a harmony of opposites, just as the whole of the universe is a harmony of opposites.

• 2 Timothy 1:10 — He has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.

The perfect purpose of God is that we might become at one with him. God creates the entire universe and then mankind out of love. It is a symbiotic relationship that God expects; that we might come to love and worship God, the creator.
